Meet the Storytellers

If you want know who to blame for dragging your brain through the convoluted world of folklore, look no further.  It's our fault.  We're sorry.

Amanda Carman

Carman, Carmanda, or the Gastromancer (depending on who you ask) is an illustrator, writer, and dessert enthusiast who lives trapped somewhere on the border of goofiness and the dark murmurings of the collective unconscious.  She acts as the cheap knockoff brand of folklorist that you can buy in a shady street market from a vendor with no credentials or front teeth.
When she's not hunting down the silliest folktales, she can be found patiently teaching her cat to dance, drawing fantasy illustrations (sometimes for pay!), and bogging through unsightly early drafts of novels.  Check out her work at Carmanda Arts Things.

Tyler Crowley

Tyler Crowley is a twenty-something animator with a penchant for the weird and the terrible.  A podcast aficionado and a fan of humor all his life, he likes to believe he brings a certain je ne sais quoi and exuberance to the proceedings.  In reality, he brings pop culture anecdotes and bombast, but let's split the difference, shall we?
You can find a collection of his animated work on YouTube.  He also did a series of animated shorts for My Brother, My Brother, And Me.  (Except for that King Nugget one.  Someone else did that one.)

Gordie Murphy

Gordie Murphy is a man of many names, including Lawrence Fishburn.  He is also a writer, filmmaker, and Netrunner champion.  When he's not working on his own creative projects and cleaning up at tournaments, he spends his time in a secret lair carefully laying the foundations for a future in which he emerges a victorious ruler of an extensive castle.  The castle will be staffed by corgis and funded by his many successful inventions, including indoor hammock transporters and human feeder bottles full of cereal.
You can find samples of his film, writing, and graphic design at Ulfberht Productions.

The Brobdingnagian Bards

Okay, so this podcast is not their fault, but musicians Andrew McKee and Marc Gunn did do us the great favor of allowing us to use "Happily Ever After" from their album "Brobdingnagian Fairy Tales" for our music.  If you love filk or Celtic music, or simply enjoy laughter and good times, you should definitely check them out and buy their music.  Trust us, we've always steered you right.
